Motors are the kind of Arc Raiders material that can turn a clean raid into a greedy disaster. You spot one on a chair inside a control room, hear movement outside, and suddenly the whole run feels different. For a reliable reference, keep the ARC Raiders Items page nearby, then focus your search on industrial spaces instead of checking random streets. My top pick is Water Treatment Control on Dam Battlegrounds because it packs loose technical loot, red lockers, containers, and nearby vehicles into one manageable sweep.

Start at Water Treatment Control

Enter the main treatment and control buildings, checking desks, chairs, shelves, consoles, and corners beside large equipment. Don't rush straight to cars. Motors can appear as loose loot, so a quick visual sweep of each room often pays off before you touch the vehicle compartments outside. After the interior is clear, inspect nearby cars, trucks, and buses, especially engine areas. This route gives you several attempts without forcing a long cross-map run, which matters when another squad is already making noise.

Build the Route Around Your Spawn

Primary Facility is the best follow-up on Dam Battlegrounds, particularly for shipping containers and pull-out storage trays. Spaceport offers Vehicle Maintenance first, then Container Storage and Shipping Warehouse if the area is quiet. Blue Gate favors grouped vehicles around the Checkpoint and underground roads, while Buried City's parking garage keeps many cars inside a tight vertical space. Stella Montis can work through the lower Sandbox and loading areas, but the longer travel and ARC pressure make it a less forgiving choice.

Do This, Not That

Do search grouped vehicles beside a facility. Don't cross the map for one isolated sedan. Do keep the first pass compact. Don't fill your inventory with low-value scrap before reaching the target area. A useful pre-extraction checklist is simple.

Leave two or more inventory slots open for the Motor and related materials.
Search loose loot before assuming a container is the only source.
Check engine compartments after clearing the closest building.
Mark an extraction option before entering a contested industrial zone.
Leave once the needed Motor is secured unless the next room is genuinely safe.

The Mistake Most Players Make

Many players treat a reported Motor position as a fixed spawn. From what I've seen, that mindset creates bad decisions: one empty chair leads to a full retreat, or one empty car leads to an unnecessary detour. Loot can vary by raid and may already be taken, so judge a location by its number of useful search points rather than one famous spot. Water Treatment Control remains strong because an empty room doesn't end the attempt; lockers, shelves, vehicles, and adjacent structures still offer chances.

Leave Before the Run Gets Expensive

Sound should decide how far you push. Search safer interior rooms first, listen for gunfire and movement, then choose between the remaining vehicles and extraction. Primary Facility and Spaceport may reward a bigger haul, but exposure rises quickly when you keep opening every container after finding the item you needed. At least in my experience, the best Motor raid is rarely the one with the largest backpack; it's the one that gets the upgrade material home. Once your workshop goal is covered, spend the saved time on another run or browse cheap ARC Raiders BluePrints for the next project.
