Getting armed in Los Santos is straightforward, but the smart approach is to think beyond the price tag. Ammu-Nation is the main place to buy firearms, explosives, body armour, and a few clothing items. There are 11 shops around the map, so you will rarely be far from one. If you are building a fresh loadout for Franklin, GTA 5 Accounts can also be useful when you want a quicker start, though learning the shops and handling weapons yourself still matters.

Picking a Useful Loadout

Not every weapon suits every situation. The Combat MG is a solid choice when you expect a long firefight. In Story Mode, it becomes available after Blitz Play and costs $3,700. Its 100-round magazine gives you room to keep pressure on a target, although the weapon can feel heavy during a rushed escape. The Special Carbine costs $14,750 in Story Mode. It is easier to control and works well at medium range. The RPG is a different sort of purchase. It can destroy a vehicle in one hit, but that power brings attention very quickly. Grenades are cheaper and more flexible, especially when you need to clear a small area.

Costs and Practical Uses

Ammu-Nation also sells equipment that affects how your character looks rather than how he fights. A Brown Woven Shooting Vest costs $150 and adds a modest tactical touch to an outfit. Keep an eye on your cash before filling every weapon slot. This quick comparison helps put the main options into perspective.

What Happens After You Fire

The weapon wheel lets you switch gear without opening a shop menu, which is handy when a mission turns messy. Still, firing in public is rarely a quiet decision. A rocket aimed at a parked Ocelot Jackal can cause an explosion, destroy the car, and bring officers to the scene at once. If you take another car and leave, the wanted level may rise to two stars. The response becomes more forceful, with patrol cars following, cutting across roads, and trying to push your vehicle off course. When you are trying to get clear, these steps usually help.

Leave the area before stopping to change weapons.
Use side streets, tunnels, or parking structures to break visual contact.
Avoid civilian traffic and police cars, since repeated impacts slow your escape.
Hide the vehicle and stay out of sight until the search fades.

Staying Alive During a Pursuit

Driving straight through the city feels fast, but it often ends with a damaged car and several cruisers around you. Watch your vehicle condition. If it is pinned against a wall, jumping out can leave you exposed to armed officers, and the scene may end on the Wasted screen. It is usually better to turn early, reduce speed, and disappear from view than to keep forcing a path through traffic. Players who want a ready-made starting point may also browse GTA 5 Modded Accounts for sale while still practising careful weapon use in Los Santos.
